Getting from Pisa Airport to the Leaning Tower is really easy. Transport via Pisa Airport to Pisa Station and city centre are conveniently located a few meters from the departures section. The train station is on the left and the buses are on the right hand side of the departures exit. We planned to spend 2-3 hours in Pisa before heading off to Florence. The quickest means for this was the bus (approx. 15 minutes). Look out for the bus line called LAM Rossa. A single ticket costs € 1. 10. Don't forget to validate the ticket on the bus. An unvalidated ticket could cost you a substantial fee. Tickets can be purchased at the Airport Information desk, at the kiosk in the airport or on the bus. We recommend the Airport Info desk or the bus the kiosks tend to charge an additonal fee. According to the bus time table there should be a bus every ten minutes. Thanks for the really useful info! We went on a Sunday and found that the buses go every 15 mins on that day (probably public holidays too). For anyone else going, if you are nervous about where to get off, keep an eye on the sign at the front of the bus. 'Prossima fermata' means next stop, and the one you want is Torre 2. The previous stop is Bonanno 3 and the one before that is Bonanno 4.
