Florence by Night!

The buildings in florence are monumental, and sometimes reveal themselves best at night, so if your visiting be sure not to miss the sight and don´t forget your camera too!. Here´s a few shots that came out of the good old Nikon-box after messing around with the settings a bit:

Florence, Firenze, Alberti
Santa Maria Novella by night

The Basilica church Santa Maria Novella was ones the home of Pope Eugene IV when he was in driven out of rome and living in Florence in excile. Alberti was the architect and I like the perfect symmetrical layout. the funny shape on its "shoulders" combines positive and negative curvature. Admittedly, the sky didn´t look that velvet like at all - this wonder can be attributed to keeping the keeping the camera-lence open for 20 seconds. Not too shabby!

...and this is what it looks like late afternoon.

Florence cathedral, duomo, brunelleschi, architecture
The old lady at night

The Duomo with its Domo at night!
...and finally one of those ones, where cars are turned into neonlights with a nice background, now we don´t have to buy any postcards!.
